Deemsys Offers CEU courses to enable healthcare workers to complete their continuing education requirements entirely online. Currently the following courses are offered online. Ohio Law and Rules Series: On the Ohio Board of NursingThe purpose of this study is to inform nurses of the key points about the Ohio Board of Nursing. Ohio Board of Nursing was established and is governed by the Ohio Revised Code and is authorized by law to enforce Chapter 4723 which contains the Ohio Revised Code of the laws regulating the practice of nursing. The main objectives were put down as comparing and contrasting the Ohio Board of Nursing and professional nursing associations and identifying facts that relate to the Ohio Board of Nursing. There will be 13 members on the Ohio Board of Nursing and they will be selected by the Governor of Ohio, 8 as Registered Nurses (RN) and 4 as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). Some of the pointers for qualification of the post are citizenship of the United States and Ohio residents; an active license in nursing; 5 yrs of nursing experience and a valid certification of authority for the practice of nursing for one of the eight RNs. Ohio Law and Rules Series: On the Scope of Nursing PracticeThis independent study will inform nurses on their rights and duties concerning the range of nursing practice as put down by Ohio law. The objectives for this course are to identify the scope of nursing practice as it relates to the RN and to the LPN and as it relates to the Advanced Practice RNs. This course is to help nurses know the scope of their professional nursing practice with a valid license. This course will also give lessons on nursing care functions and will give individual attention to RNs, LPNs, and other advanced practice nursing roles in Ohio. FibromyalgiaThe main purpose of this course is to inform nurses on the criteria, signs and symptoms and current methods associated in treating Fibromyalgia.
Differentiating Between Delirium and Dementia DisorderThis course is to teach nurses to differentiate between Delirium and Dementia Disorder. The main objectives will be to compare and contrast delirium and dementia, identify assessment methods and name useful interventions and importance of accurate differentiation between the two. The course will teach nurses what the two disorders basically are and also teach them the right course of action when they face a situation. Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity DisorderThis course is to inform and teach nurses on the characteristic features of children who experience Attention-Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ADHD is a neurological condition that affects millions of children and adults worldwide. ADHD can cause problems in the social, academic, and occupational functioning.
What You Should Know about Holding an Ohio License to Practice Nursing an Independent StudyThe main purpose of this course was to inform nurses on their rights and responsibilities as regards the practice of nursing as put down by the law of Ohio. Nurses are taught to know the differences between laws and rules in the State of Ohio. Both laws and rules administer the practice of Registered Nursing (RN) and Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN). In this study, nurses will be informed about the laws and rules that will influence nursing and the Board of Nursing that has the authority to control nursing practice.
